N.J. Wastell - technical services www.njwastell.com;  Nick offers a personal computer service for home and small business users including repairs, upgrades, virus removal and data recovery dealing with all versions of the Windows operating system.  He can also offer help and advice for all your computer peripheral equipment.  Nick offers a surgery for your computer problems on the last Wednesday morning of each month at ‘Open Door’ and has been instrumental in helping us with the redesign and operation of our website.

Befrienders Worldwide: www.befrienders.org They work worldwide to provide emotional support, and reduce suicide.  They listen to people who are in distress.  Befrienders Worldwide don’t judge them or tell them what to do – they listen.

Dying Matters Coalition: www.dyingmatters.org The Dying Matters Coalition is led by the National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC), the umbrella charity for all those who are involved in palliative care, and is supported by the Department of Health.  The Coalition’s Mission is “to support changing knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards death, dying and bereavement, and through this to make ‘living and dying well’ the norm”.

The Silver Haired Ex-Pats Blog:  The rantings of the ‘Open Door’ Treasurer, a retired British ex-pat living in France, about the general inadequacies and peculiarities of life in both countries.  This blog does not necessarily represent the views of the Association but may give an insight into the daily life of the ‘Open Door’ and the problems presented to it.  If you would like to visit the blog click here

Caroline Sherwood :   www.carolinesherwood.co.uk.  Caroline Sherwood is a writer and teacher based in Glastonbury where she also offers B&B to wayfarers. A former member of the editorial team of the Buddhist Hospice Trust’s journal, Caroline ran a course entitled ‘Live this year as though it were your last.’ It was as a result of participating in this course, when Caroline facilitated it in France, that the idea of ‘Open Door’ was developed.  She has taught meditation and Tibetan yoga (kum nye) for many years and is now focusing on writing.
